The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has refuted recent claim made by Chairman Wontumi that he, Owusu Bempah has anointed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to become the next President.

According to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, he accompanied Dr. Bawumia to the residence of Owusu Bempah where the preacher allegedly anointed Dr. Bawumia to win the Presidential election.

Chairman Wontumi made the assertion on his Kumasi-based Wontumi FM last week.

Owusu Bempah in response emphatically rejected any occurrence as such and described the allegations as untrue.

Speaking to his congregation during a sermon on Sunday, October 13, he claimed that no such meeting took place.

“He claims he came to my house with the Vice President and that I anointed Bawumia and said he was going to be the next President, but that is completely false. Even Bawumia himself knows Wontumi is not telling the truth,” he told the congregation.

Owusu Bempah also challenged Wontumi’s dare that he is unable to set foot in Kumasi after his recent prophecy that former President John Mahama would be the next President.

“I am a Bantama boy so the other day Chairman Wontumi said I couldn’t step foot in Kumasi, he was very funny to me. When I was living in Kumasi, Wontumi was just a young boy.”
